In Memory of Thomas Siegmund
My favorite uncle passed away unexpectedly today. His passing has put a shock on my family and I. I will dedicate the making of this film to his memory. He is one of the best people I have ever known. His generosity and his wisdom inspired me. His words comforted me and taught me many things. I will miss him dearly. In his name, I push on...

Awfully sorry to hear about your uncle. It sounds as though he was a mentor to you. They are some of the hardest people to lose.
And it is a small world. Read my name...who are these other people named Siegmund? I read a little of your blog. I attended USC from 1980-1984 for a BS. I had a roommate in cinema production and appeared in many roles during my Super-8 debut year.
I returned in 1987-88 for an MS. During one of those stints the cinema school moved out of tin sheds where a dorm now stands and into the new school which I remember as a large hole in the ground. (I visited the campus a few weeks ago for the first time in ages. I hardly recognized it.)
Good luck, deep condolences, and drop a line some time. Perhaps we are distant relatives.
Paul
